Christopher Moiser

Hi, I’m Chris, a recent graduate with a broad range of research interests – particularly ‘big picture’ projects and approaches that identify the contours and driving forces of historical phenomenon.

I am working on the bid proposal for the Historic Houses Global Crossroads project; this is an interesting and exciting project for me, I appreciate being able to examine the Country House through multiple lenses and work to situate them in a global context. It is also an important experience in working with Indigenous artefacts and gaining insight into how this can be done respectfully and appropriately. As part of the project I am gaining valuable insights into how public-facing Academic research is done at ‘the coalface’ as well as the process by which research funding is acquired and applied.

I enjoy travel, literature, film and outdoor pursuits. My undergraduate dissertation was very interesting but had absolutely nothing to do with the work I am doing at present.
