Kim is extending the Impact agenda of TSRG’s collective externally funded awards globally; helping to build TSRG’s relationships with global education services providers, strengthening new international partnerships with significant museums, heritage institutes, charities and Indigenous bodies, advancing the KE potential of TSRG’s digital research outputs and consultancy work; and helping to develop and deliver external bids for KE and other associated research funding. Kim is also the PDRA/PhD Representative on the Knowledge Exchange Data Steering Group at UoH and serves on the Executive Committee of the Association of Southeast Asian Studies.
In 2022 Kim completed her PhD in the Department of History at the University of Nottingham. Her thesis examined the extent to which the United States’ colonial rule of the Philippines (1898-1946) shaped the country’s memorial landscape over the course of the twentieth century. This PhD formed part of the Cultures of Occupation in Twentieth Century Asia (COTCA) project, funded by the European Research Council. Kimberley also has an undergraduate degree in American and English Studies from the University of Nottingham, and a Masters in Art Gallery and Museum Studies from the University of Manchester.
