Projects and Partnerships

I graduated from The University of Hull in 2020 with a 2:1 BA (Hons) Degree in History. During my time at university I became intrigued with modules that had a particular focus on Indigenous peoples and how these cultures interacted with the wider world. ‘Imperial Colonies’ was a standout module for me, with its focus being on reinterpreting the American Revolution through the inclusion of Indigenous voices and perspectives: rather than the typical eastern colonial focus. I have worked on a previous project in Hull called ‘Missions to Seamen’, which was funded by Hull History Centre.

My role as an intern is to assist with the research and development of new projects that have the potential to attract external funding. It includes a combination of discovery research, information management, and partnership work.  The use of technology in the project is of real interest to me, as I envision the incorporation of technology as the future of the heritage sector.
